Almandine Garnet Samples – Handpicked from Ruby Reservoir, Montana
Almandine Garnets may be relatively common in certain regions, but they remain one of my personal favorite gemstones. All of the garnet samples offered on this site come from Ruby Reservoir, near Virginia City, Montana, and are hand-collected by me, ensuring their authenticity and origin. I offer a variety of Almandine garnets, all of which are ungraded but highly gemmy, varying by size and preparation.
These garnets are sold by carat weight and are available in 5g (25 carat) and 10g (50 carat) sample jars. While these samples are primarily intended as display pieces, you’ll find many high-quality stones within each jar. I make sure to include only garnets that meet my quality standards, ensuring that no matter the size or shape, you're receiving authentic and attractive specimens.
In addition to the sample jars, I also offer larger individual garnets, which are ungraded but also gemmy, suitable for display or further processing.
Each sample is carefully selected, with no stones withheld, so you can be confident in the quality and beauty of the garnets you'll receive.
The actual price per carat (not what we are charging you) is dependent on the gems size and clarity upon grading, as larger, clearer gems of rich color can be suited for faceting and have the potential to carry much more value.
